Having recently got all the parts for my new rig I was impatient (as you can imagine) to get my O/S installed so I can start transferring everything off my old PC.

I only have legacy IDE HDD's in my server machines for extra storage, everything else is SATA.

Of course there's no sata support on my O/S install disks !

Now considering I do not use floppy drives anymore (except in my servers and its impratical to stop those running just so I can cannabalise parts) I ran into quite a problem.

nLite to the rescue !! ( http://www.nliteos.com/index.html )

This easy to use little program lets you copy your source O/S install disk and inject the manufacturers drivers, service packs, serial numbers and repackage them up into a bootable ISO you can burn back to DVD or CD.

There are HEAPS of customiseable options you can include so you do not have to enter them again for the install.

Worth a try even if its to build easy SOE type packages
