and we have liftoff !!

Andy Woerner and his crazy rocketeer friends have built a 21-foot long X-Wing model that can actually fly. Yes, this is a real X-Wing powered by four solid-fuel rocket engines complete with radio-controlled moving wings. It blasts off in California next week

Holy Obi-Wan-Kenobi!

That will look sen-frickin-sational if it launches and flies :hithere:

*laughs* I wanna see the look on some flight controllers face when it comes up on Radar

"Umm, Sir. We appear to have an X-wing inbound. And for reference the wings are in Attack position."

Well, if Top Gear can get a Reliant Robin (http://www.3wheelers.com/robin.html)off the ground with rocket boosters that one won't really be a challenge.

With enough thrust anything will fly :p

hope they make some footage of its flight.... id say they created a smaller one hence why they say that it flies... could be and most likely wrong though...
