Carpet pythons bite like a angry dog, they are so nice to look at but are more than happy to bite the hand that feeds them. We had a nice white coloured one trying to eat our budgies at 1.00am then other night, didn't want to kill it so i sprayed it with the hose. The end result was me runnig off into the yard with a grumpy snake rushing up and down the front verandah.

If i see any more snakes, do you want them, Most are being killed by the Cane toads, I have had 5 dead snakes in the last month.

Lol, yeah, i'll find some where for them :) i used to remove snakes for peeps, yeah, carpet pythons are bastards!

I'm a fan of snakes, but know very little about keeping them :D
(Wife is petrified of them. She didn't used to be, but we got trapped in Naracoorte caves with an angry brown snake. She's had a phobia ever since).
I thought one decent meal would keep them going for a week or more...

How much food does Sledge eat in a week?
How big is he?
What's the other snake you keep?

Ive had Sledge for about 5 or so years, he's about 7 foot, he's most of the time angry, he dosen't eat that much, just the others wern,t feeling like food and hes a guts so he ate their share too, i won't feed him for a while, the chickens were for my (big) lizard, the other one is a childrens python, i'll have a look for a pic, he's not so mad, but has his days.
