High Dynamic Range (http://www.photoshopsupport.com/photoshop-cs3/hdr-high-dynamic-range/index.html) - this is a tutorial on a photoshop technique used to optimize the exposure of all areas of a photo. There's plenty of high dynamic range tutorials around, and I doubt this is the best but you get the idea.
