Here's a different crop of one of the essay shots I took the other weekend.
I wanted to include this one because I liked the way the sand eroded as the tide ran out.

Auki,
Nice shot however I'm not sure what you are trying to show your audience. The photo for me is a tad too busy. My eye's are drawn away from the eroding sand due to all the metal around the wharf etc... I would have prefered a shot that showed more of the eroding sand and with far less things happening in the background. As an example here is a shot I took where I wanted the audience eye's drawn to the forerground water and rocks:

yeah the shot wasnt intended to focus on the sand ... I just happened to like the bit down the bottom so I included it in this crop ... the other crop was the one on my around darwin essay doing the horizontal which had only sea/sky/structure

Some may call this folly, some may laugh however is Auki the next Peter Jarver?? The pics look good with some direction as to the final position of the borders. If you got some cash together (advertising on this site ;-P might help) and release a glossy publication - we might not see you here again.

lol nowhere near it - but I have been getting handy tips over at grandinferno !!
Realising a few little things that make a big difference .. now for the D-SLR :p

Yeah www.grandinferno.net is a really great resource and awesome place to find out interesting bits and pieces that often we dont think about in art or when we are taking a photo etc.... definitely worth a visit IMO.

Ausmosis your example was a little lost to me as my eyes went to the skyscape but awesome photo :)
