I see so many people posting on pages recently about Kraft using the term "isnack2.0" being commented upon as stealing what is popularly known as an "APPLE IDEA" ( hello anyone who knows enough also know that the Mouse driven GUI was Xerox's idea before Apple cashed in on that too ! ).
Just thought I'd also enlighten those who wish to not blindly follow the hype that the iPhone trademark was originally filed on the 20th March 1996 by a company called Infogear who was later bought out by Cisco, thus transferring the trademark to Cisco circa 2000.
After Apple repeatedly asked to use the iPhone trademark legal proceedings eventually ended as quoted below:
Cisco and Apple have announced that they have resolved their dispute involving the "iPhone" trademark. Under the agreement, both companies are free to use the "iPhone" trademark on their products throughout the world. Both companies acknowledge the trademark ownership rights that have been granted, and each side will dismiss any pending actions regarding the trademark. In addition, Cisco and Apple will explore opportunities for interoperability in the areas of security, and consumer and enterprise communications. Other terms of the agreement are confidential.
