Nightcilff Jetty Shots

[Ausmosis]

These are some wide angle shots I took at Nightcliff Jetty. The mistake I made with these shots was to leave the horizon in the centre of the photos. To get better effect it's usually better to either place the horizon line lower or higher than the centre of the photo :blink:

These shots were also taken in complete darkness. I used a very long shutter speed in order to get enough light into the camera instead of using a flash. This also gives the water a milky effect and a sense of motion.

wow, Nightcliff jetty is a fairly picturesque place but those shots are fantastic. I think I like them better than the real jetty :)

I still think it looks good that way! put it this way all the other photographers that follow that rule will have the same 2/3rd rule in all their photos and yours will be the unique ones :yep::D

Thank's again for the kind comments everyone!... As for making money I haven't really thought about it. Besides there are plenty of people selling similar photo's like the guy at the top of the escelators in Casuarina Shopping Square. If I was going to take it seriously, I'd need to get out and travel around the Territory and that alone cost a lot of money to do. I'd also need a better camera and some extra lenses :drool:

Awesome photos man... you gotta start somewhere with regards to selling them though hey.... first you start off selling them at markets then you get enough for a trip and get some more photos to sell... then you get a bit more money and can do some more travelling.... etc etc.... not that ive ever done this but i think you could do it and pull it off....take a bit of annual leave now and then and there ya have it :)
