Honestly, end of the day, he is always the same character, always with the same lines and always with the yelling...does he still have it? Is there anyone looking forward to seeing "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry"? Which is so dangerously close to "Strange Bedfellows" that its suspicious...

Yeah I saw a bit of media coverage with Michael Caton (I believe) spewing that they've stolen the idea. Adam Sandler has annoyed me from the Water Boy movie onward unfortunately... I used to have a few of his comedy albums, but sold them years ago. I still like Happy Gilmore a lot though... Great stuff. "You eat pieces of sh!t for breakfast?" lol

Agree with you 100% Quito - he doesn't seem to be able to step outside the same character, especially with the yelling. Don't get me wrong, he's one of my favourite actors, but his limited acting abilities makes him rather boring at times.

I have to agree - much of his work seems to be cloned - but the snapshot in time that is the Happy Gilmore era of his work is the bit that I like to remember fondly.

Got to say tho I loved the scene in The Wedding Singer where he plays her the song he composed when he was in a double state of mind ... that was a classic :D

A) Adam Sandler still makes me laugh, so even though he has a type-cast and cloned formula for comedy that he sticks to, I'll keep watching

B) Chuck and Larry is a rip-off Movie, completely, HOWEVER I will still go see it because it will make me laugh, and Jessica Biel is sensationally stunning

C) Jerry Lewis had a similar type-cast slapstick comic style in every movie, as did the Marx Bros and the Three Stooges...yet they're revered as some of the best comedy work of all time.

D) Movie actors often get typecast into a particular role, no matter what the character (especially action stars like Steven Seagal or Jean-Claude Van Damme). As long as you're not expecting the world, these B-grade (or C or D) movies can still be entertaining, and that's all I'm looking for in a movie :)

Good point...I think I find movies funny, situations funny, more than I find a particular actor funny...it's how the audience and the other actors respond and react to them that's funny, for me...
