This is a poster I made for an upcoming Youth Expo. It's for a kind of competition, where a few people sent their posters in and only one will be used. Anyway this is mine:

And this is one of the other entries:

We had to leave room for sponsors' logos to be added later, hence the large amount of space in the posters. Which poster interests you most? Which poster makes you want to attend the expo most? Don't forget to say why, if you can pinpoint the reason, e.g. colour choice, images etc. Any other comments are welcome.

Im going with #1 here, mostly because I prefer the colours and I like the nice contrast the black silhouettes lend to the balance.
Obviously the colouring of some of the sponsors logo's may change that balance so I can only go on the two posters as they are with the blank space I think.
Also being less 'busy' the first poster tends to draw my eye more readily to the subject 'Youth Expo' a lot easier. But then again that may be because Im getting old :)
that said the second poster has a great use of the space and colours, although I got to say Im not a big fan of those hues.
My personal preferences have tipped the scales firmly in favour of #1 ! good job !
Q: if you win the opportunity to have your poster used, hopefully you gain some credit for the work at the very least ? (as well as being able to include it in your published portfolio ?)

I'm in agreeance with Auki, I quite like #1's red and ochre colour scheme, it's quite easy on the eye in comparison to #2's explosion of fluoro colours.
Good Luck, hope you win ^)^.

me too, I'm going with your one scarlet, for the same reasons. Easier to read and I like the 'sunburnt' colour theme.
I liked the title the best in your poster, subtle use of the body as a letter yet it reads as a letter so naturally :) !

Yeah, hopefully they will include my name or something on it. But I sent it as a PDF and I think they're just going to add the logos and that's it. It wasn't an official competition, like it wasn't advertised and there's no prizes. I'll be including it my portfolio whether they want it to be there or not, because I still own the copyright to it. There were no terms or conditions given to me.
