Overnight the Dow Jones finished 133 points higher as Billionaire investor Warren Buffet offered to help out insurers from their claims. This sures up the foundation of the recovery in the US. Like the rest of us, US financial institutions have insurance for the unexpected. The insurance companies have reached a stage where claims are outstripping what they can afford to pay out and are unable to help the ailing financial sector.
Today the ASX opened higher but fell sharply after open on news that CBA's profits were up but not as high as analysts expected. All the banks have slumped today, dragging the market down.
After a busy morning for me, I hope to be on time tomorrow.
